Casas particulares
Family-run B&Bs in places we would send our own friends—private bathrooms, real character, and hosts we have worked with for years.
We do not put you in big hotels. You stay in casas particulares: Cuban bed-and-breakfasts, in restored family homes, in neighborhoods we know well.
Think a real street, a terrace or courtyard when the house has one, and a private bathroom for your room. Breakfast is often at the table—fruit, coffee, and the people who live there.
We choose both the casas and the boutique hotels for where they sit: a good neighborhood, restaurants you can walk to, and a pickup that does not eat the morning.
Small groups and private trips
Small-group tours
On a small-group tour, casas are the default. You stay in a family house, so you are closer to the people of Cuba. We also need the whole group in the same part of town—same streets, same breakfast, one pickup. Nobody waiting across the city while the bus does a scavenger hunt.
Private tours
On a private tour you can keep the casas, or upgrade to a boutique hotel. Those are casas that have been remodeled and brought up so they stand with the best hotels in the country. That upgrade is for private trips, not the small-group departures.

Near the restaurants, the old city, the valley, or the water—depending on the stop. Casas and boutique hotels on our list are picked for that, not only for the photo.
Your own bathroom
The rooms we book have a private bathroom. You are not sharing a hall bath with the family.
Hosts we trust
We go back to the same houses and families. We stay in touch. If a casa slips, it leaves our list.

Tiled floors, high ceilings, a courtyard, a rooftop at sunset. These are homes, not hotel corridors.

Havana
Old-city streets, high ceilings, and terraces above the noise. We use casas in parts of Havana we actually like to walk.
Viñales
Valley views, gardens, and porches for a slow evening after the mogotes. Quiet houses, close to the landscape.
Trinidad
Colonial streets, rooftops, and that late-light terrace. Compact homes with a lot of personality.
Varadero
Beach-side stays with a patio and a private bath—not a resort tower. A calmer base when the itinerary hits the coast.
Beach stops
Simple, well-kept rooms near the water on days that are about the coast—not a big hotel strip.

We confirm your casa closer to the trip
We always try to get you the strongest option from our list. We cannot promise a specific house on the day you book.
These B&Bs take reservations from many places—their own guests, other agencies, walk-ins. There is no live inventory we can check the way you would with a hotel chain. Nobody can see, in real time, which room will still be free months out.
So we wait until we are closer to your dates, then we confirm with the host. You will know exactly where you are staying once that confirmation is in. Until then, this page is the honest picture: the kind of casas we use, the boutique hotels we can put you in on a private trip, and the people we trust with our travelers.
