The Ultimate 8-Day Cuba Itinerary: The "Bella Cuba" Experience

schedule

9 Min Read

If you have one week to see the best of the island, you shouldn't have to choose between history, nature, and culture. At Cuba 360 Tours, we’ve perfected the balance with our signature Bella Cuba Tour. Because we are local guides with no middleman, we’ve designed this 8-day journey to hit the "Big Three"—Havana, Viñales, and Trinidad—while uncovering the hidden gems in between.

📍 Days 1-2: Havana’s Timeless Soul

Your journey begins with a private airport pickup and an immersion into the capital.

  • Old Havana: A walking tour through 500 years of history, from the majestic Cathedral to the National Capitol.
  • Modern Havana: Hop into a classic 1950s convertible to cruise the Malecón, visit the Revolution Square, and explore the tilework masterpiece of Fusterlandia.

📍 Day 3: The Tobacco Lands of Viñales

We take a day trip to the lush Viñales Valley. You’ll visit a local tobacco plantation to see how the world’s finest cigars are rolled and explore the subterranean San Juan river inside the Indian Cave.

📍 Day 4: History & Snorkeling at the Bay of Pigs

On our way south, we stop at the historic Bay of Pigs. You can snorkel in the crystal-clear waters of the Cueva de los Peces (a 70m-deep cenote) and visit the museum at Playa Girón to learn about the 1961 Cold War invasion. We end the day in the French-influenced city of Cienfuegos.

📍 Day 5: Your Day, Your Way in Trinidad

Trinidad is a UNESCO World Heritage site where time stopped in 1850. On this day, we let you customize your experience:

  • Option A: A horseback ride through the countryside with a dip in a river.
  • Option B: A hike to the 62m Salto del Caburní waterfall in the Topes de Collantes forest.
  • Option C: A professional salsa lesson followed by relaxation at Playa Ancón.

📍 Day 6: The Path of Che Guevara

Leaving the Sugar Mills Valley, we head to Santa Clara. This "edgy" city is the final resting place of Che Guevara. You’ll visit his mausoleum and learn about the decisive battle that changed Cuban history before we head back to Havana.

📍 Day 7: Cigars, Rum, and Cocktails

Your final full day in Havana offers another choice:

  • Option A: A deep dive into the Partagás Cigar Factory and the Havana Club Rum Museum.
  • Option B: A salsa masterclass followed by a rooftop cocktail workshop where you’ll learn to make the perfect Mojito.

📍 Day 8: Farewell to the Island

We handle your final transfer to the airport, ensuring a stress-free end to your "Bella Cuba" adventure.
